About the designer

Danny Yount

As a self-taught designer, Danny Yount learned everything he knows the hard way. It was the work of Kyle Cooper that lead him in the direction of main title design.

"It wasn't until I heard about what Kyle Cooper was doing with Imaginary Forces that I was able to get a clear sense of what I wanted to do," Danny told Desktop in an interview, "From that point on I made it my goal to design main titles. To me it was like gravity – it seemed to be the most logical thing to do. I spent a year building a reel and refining my skills."

I am having a problem viewing the videos on this site. I have the newest version of Flash and firefox installed. Are there any others out there who have had this problem and can help me out?

I'm sorry you're having this problem Shannon. This is a known but rare Flash bug that occurs with some system configurations. There's nothing we can do about it now. Hopefully a new Flash version will come out soon that will fix the problem. Did you try other browsers?

Thanks for the Vimeo link, I've had the same issue for more than a year here:(
(multiple configs, but Firefox seems to be the similar factor with both)

Great interview with Danny Yount.
It sounds a basic prerequisite for creating tiles but he's right about the importance of really understanding the story and tone of the film before starting. Love Rock 'N' Rolla.

So nice to watch and hear an artist having fun with his skill ... Danny's work has me hanging out for the 15 minutes at the end of the flick, watching the credits roll and waiting for surprise end titles.

Danny is the shit. Effortlessly talented. Great, humble person. There is just no other way about it.
