Johnny Kelly is an illustrator, animator and director from Dublin, Ireland. He graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology where he earned a degree in graphic design. Kelly worked for a number of years in both Dublin and London in addition to pursuing his illustration work.
In 2007, Kelly graduated from The Royal College of Art in London, where he completed an MA in Animation. His graduation short film, Procrastination – “An investigative and exploratory hands-on gloves-off study into the practice of putting things ‘off”” has been very well received and was selected to be part of the Saatchi & Saatchi New Director Showcase. He was awarded Best New Director at the 2007 Shark Awards in Kinsale and won the Animator First Boards Award this year.
